Different Taikos

There are many different Taikos. They are different in size and shape and the of playing. Every taiko has two drums sheets below and two drum sheet on top. Usually attached with iron pins.

Different types of Taikos:

1. Miya-Taiko:The most used taiko, especially used on festivals.
2. Chu-Daiko: Bigger than the Miya-Daiko, but smaller than the O-Daiko.
3. Hira-Daiko:The same shape as the Miya-Daiko, but much smaller in height.
4. Shime-Daiko:A small taiko, the size of a snare drum.
5. Ō-Daiko: The biggest taiko.
